District 9780 Group 6 Mini Golf Challenge

Thursday 2 February 2012 saw the annual Group 6 Mini Golf Challenge take place at the Cobden Miniature Railway & Mini Golf Park.   All 6 clubs from Group 6 were represented - Camperdown, Cobden, Colac, Colac West, Mortlake and Terang, and we were delighted to welcome Rotaracters from Warrnambool.  

72 Club members, friends and families turned up and most played mini golf to see who were the best golfers in the Group and to reward the best Club.   Also, the long-standing contest between Terang and Cobden, was waged.  

A great social night for all those who attended in perfect golfing weather - fine, late afternoon, light breeze and ideal putting conditions!

Results were varied with scores from 89 by Sue Schram from Colac West to 64 by Heme Ratnayake from Camperdown.

There were plenty of Holes in One, although no-one matched last year's record of 4 by Mike Touzel from Colac West.   Both Mike and Colleen both collected holes in one this year.

Best Club on the night was the Rotary Club of Colac with an average of 70.1 per 18 hole round

Winner of the Terang/Cobden Challenge - Cobden by 1.1%
