President Kevin's Message

October is Vocational Service month throughout Rotary International.

ROTARY INVITES EXCELLENCE NOMINATIONS

Cobden’s Rotary Club is asking for nominations to be submitted in its annual Vocational Service Awards.

These awards give members of the community, as well as employers, to nominate people who have provided excellent customer service in three different categories. This means that some one who provides excellent customer service, or a tradesman who performs work with pride, or a trainee or apprentice who performs excellently can gain recognition.

These awards will be conducted over the months of October and November, and anyone can submit more than one nomination. An individual may also be nominated in more than one category.

The president of the Cobden Rotary Club, Kevin Johnston, said “These awards carry a lot of prestige. Not only are the winners entitled to be proud of their achievements, but also any nominee can be proud of the fact that they are recognised as providing excellent customer service in their vocational field.”

“We encourage all members of the community to show they value the performance of people working in trade and customer service roles.”

Each issue of the “Cobden Times” will contain a nomination form from now until 26 November. The nomination can also be downloaded by clicking on the green button above.

These can be used to submit your nominations, and they can be handed to any Rotarian or posted to PO Box 42, Cobden. They can also be handed in at Martin’s Timber & Hardware or Cobden Computers.
